Kumano Shrine’s Kagura

On the day of the event, hundreds of people gather at the shrine to watch a dance performance of 13 plays. A flute and a taiko drum are used for the accompaniment, and it is said that this performance maintains its ancient base as well as adds its own unique local colors.
