Minakuchi Hikiyama Festival

From to

This is a festival created by the pride of the local townspeople that lived in the middle of the Edo period. This festival highlights both the prosperity of the town and the spirit of the townspeople. The main attraction is a luxurious hikiyama float, which holds several men, drummers, and even a Kamakuri doll at the very top. It’s pushed and paraded around the city in a lively event.
