Mito Plum Festival

From to

Mito no Ume Matsuri (Mito Plum Festival) has a history of over 120 years. Around 100 varieties of plums in the park seem to compete to see which can bloom the brightest in a beautiful scene that signals the coming of spring. This festival usually begins in mid-February and lasts until the end of March. There is a night illumination from Feb 23 until March 21, from 18:00 – 21:00.
