Nado no Obisha

This is a festival held at the Iwasaku Shrine in Narita City, Nara every year on the Sunday that follows February 13. An unusual Oshisha performs ceremonial rituals of delivering God to a few different places: on the street of an old-fashioned battle shrine, at the official owner’s home, and on the 3-way junction road. This event is held to pray for a good harvest of autumn. The Oshisha in the 5th and 6th wards of the Nara area is designated as prefectural intangible folk cultural asset.
