Onda Festival

This festival is held every year on the first Sunday in February. Among the festivals in western Japan, this wildly bizzare “Onda Festival” is actually known as the first odd festival in Japan. People gather to watch a rice ceremony in which there is a vivid intimate scene portraying the Tengu and Okame couple’s “sexual” union (it’s just a comedy act played by 2 men). In the precincts of the shrine, there are many stones resembling male genitals.
