Tanbo (Rice Field) Art

From to 09:00 - 17:00

This event is held every year from late May/early June until early October. The rice fields in Inakadate Village display massive images and artwork all made from a variety of rice plants. The tanbo art has gained international attention and draws over 100,000 visitors every single year. The massive images are specially created to be best viewed from observation decks. And, as the summer goes by, the colors of the rice in the fields change, which alters the murals’ appearances.
