This is a widely known traditional event of the spirit of the Warabi-Mimusubi Shrine, praying for mischief and grain richness. The festival begins with a gathering at the shrine praying for a good harvest. After this, the festival moves to the nearby Warabigaoka Park, where large groups of barefoot men dressed only in loincloths will wade in the mud and even mud-wrestle, much to the delight of the many onlookers.
